The scale and speed of the violence that engulfed Kenya fallowing the controversial presidential election of December 27, 2007 shocked Kenyans and the world at large. Two months of bloodshed left over 1000 dead and close to half a million internally displaced persons in a country viewed as a bastion of economic and political stability in a volatile area. With a final agreement that made Rila Odinga Prime Minster the violence finally stooped but tension is still extremely high.
